some years ago, nobody would have believed, that it could really come so far, but now?! that pollution and misuse of energy is a problem is, I think, something one cannot have any doubt about! but I don't like the "civilization is DOOMED to", because that makes it sound like it's someone else who doomed us to it, and I rather believe it's our own, civilization's, fault! And anyway; overpopulation?! I'm not sure about that. Civilization is going to kill itself soon enough, but don't mistake me; I'm not talking about wars or bombings or anything...
I don`t know about civilization being doomed because of the population, but of course the pollution has to do with it. As we are hearing around us every day, how pollution is increasing especially in China. The pollution is from the companies that make products that we are need for, but it’s also affecting our health. Something needs to be done, but nobody might know what.
i dont understand Anna's view... the whole "civilization is going to kill itself" thing. I personally think that overpopulation is not really our fault, we are supposed to replicate. However, the world's resources cannot support the needs of an enormous amount of humans... that includes land to live in and goods to support health. Pollution is a big factor, but it benefits our daily activities- i wouldn't be able to write this comment if it wasn't for all those power plants producing energy for the school. Misuse of energy... the only thing i can think about is the use of atomic power being used for cruelty. Lima: i just gave you an example of overpopulation
I agree with Lima that our civilization isn't doomed by the population, but because of our air pollution and also the misuse of our natural resources and the use of our energy. I don't think our civilization is doomed it's just in a bad state right now, and something needs to be done to help resolve whats happening to our civilization.
Once again i agree with Hugo and he is right that we are suppose to replicate. It's just bad that we dont have enough resources to support everyone in this world. Also pollution is a big problem but just how Hugo said it also benefits us in our daily day.
in my opinion there will be an apocalypse sooner or later and i think the humanity will be the reason for that.as anna said it's civilizations' fault.it's just a question of time when it's going to happen and in the end nobody will be able to do anything against it.
